Frederick Wins Region 20 DII Baseball Title

The Frederick Community College baseball team won the 2023 NJCAA Region 20 Division II Baseball championship. The Cougars defeated the CCBC Essex Knights, 8-2, in the first semifinal game on Friday, then overcame the CCBC Catonsville Cardinals 10-5 on Saturday. The Cougars then fell to CBBC Catonsville in a slugfest, 16-10, but returned to route the Cardinals in the tiebreaker Region 20 championship game, 18-6, on Sunday to win their third-straight Region crown. 

Frederick advances to the NJCAA DII Baseball World Series, May 27 - June 3, in Enid, Oklahoma, marking the Cougars ninth appearance in the championship. 

The Region 20 title marks the eighth for Head Coach Rodney Bennett ('07, '08, '10, '15, '19, '21, '22, & '23).
