Blanco, Offense Salvage Split with Express

NORTH EAST, Md - The Seahawks managed to survive a second blown lead of the day, dropping six runs in the last two innings to defeat Monroe-Bronx 14-6.

The opening stages of game two played out just like the opener. Cecil jumped on the Express early, plating eight runs over the first four innings to take an 8-0 advantage. Bronx returned the favor in the top of the fifth, scoring eight runs inon six hits and three errors to tie the game. Joel Blanco (1-2) would step in and clean up the mess, striking an Express batter to shut down the rally.

Cecil's offense responded to the adversity this time, plating one run in the bottom of the fifth to retake the lead. After Blanco held off the Express again in the sixth, the Seahawks would pick up five runs on a two-RBI single, two bases loaded walks, and a wild pitch. Blanco returned for the seventh and ended the game with consecutive K's for the final two outs.

The Seahawks improve to 4-8 with the win.
