Cardinals Drop Game One to Cayuga 2-0

On March 11th, the Cardinals took on Cayuga Community College in a double header. In game one The Cardinals would fall 2-0 to the Spartans.

On a day where the weather was not a helping hand, the Cardinals were facing a tough test against the Cayuga Spartans. In a pitcher's duel where runs were hard to come by, the Cardinals would fall short in the first game, losing 2-0 in game one.

The Cardinals would find themselves down early after the Spartans would score a run in the top of the first. After the first, Cardinal's pitcher Cecil Barone (Hereford High School) would lock it down. On the afternoon, Barone would go five innings, giving up two runs and striking out four batters.

The Cardinals offense would struggle to get anything going in the first game. Managing just two hits in the entire game, this was certainly an offensive performance to forget for the Cardinals. The Cardinals struggles led to the Cardinals losing 2-0 in game one.

Cardinals' pitcher Andrew Bubon (Lake Brantley High School) pitched two innings, only giving up one hit during his outing. Both Angelo Ramirez (North Atlanta High School) and Alex Valdez (Blair High School) would go 1-3 for the Cardinals.

The Cardinals are now 5-8.
