WVU Potomac State Headed to Nationals

Charlotte, NC – The WVU Potomac State Softball team has earned the eleventh seed in the 2023 National Tournament, it has been announced by the NJCAA. The Catamounts earned their way to the tournament after capturing the Region 20, Division II Championship on May 13. One of four teams remaining in the tournament, the Catamounts bested Chesapeake and Hagerstown on their way to another region title and consecutive national tournament appearances.

The Catamounts draw the sixth seeded Jones College of Mississippi in the first round of the tournament on May 23 at 4:00 p.m. Jones is 46-8 on the season and was ranked fifth in the final national poll of the year.

The 16-team, 30-game tournament will conclude on Saturday, May 27 with the two remaining teams from the winners and losers bracket competing for the National Championship.
