Harford Wins Second-Straight Region 20 DI Women's Soccer Title

BEL AIR, MD - The Harford Community College women's soccer team defeated Montgomery College, 1-0, in the Fighting Owls' second consecutive Region 20 Championship. Harford advances to the East District Championship on November 4th. The location of the match will be determined by the semifinal contest between Monroe College and Monroe Community College on November 1st.

In a back-and-forth battle for opportunities on goal, the Fighting Owls managed to pull off a win with a lone goal from Ava Lewis assisted by Skye Dixon in the 48th minute. 

Overall the Fighting Owls outshot Montgomery, 13-10 with a 9-7 advantage on shots on goal. Harford earned eight corners to Montgomery's four, and Harford keeper Evie Heinlein managed six saves in the contest to tally her 12th clean sheet of the 2023 season. Raptors' keeper Ruby Lancaster made seven stops.
