ARNOLD, MD – Led by 12 saves from Jasmin Godinez, the Anne Arundel Community College women's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw with visiting Harford Community College Thursday in the season opener for both teams at Siegert Field.
Godinez, in her collegiate debut, made three stops in the first half and nine in the second, including a pair of saves in the final two minutes to keep the shutout intact.
The Owls (0-0-1) limited the Riverhawks' offense to three shots on goal – two in the first half and one in the second.
AACC (0-0-1) did not attempt a corner kick in the game, while thwarting all five attempts from Harford.
The Riverhawks are back in action on Tuesday, August 29, in a 4 p.m. game at Division I Hagerstown.
