Potomac State's Forrester Named NJCAA Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Potomac State sophomore foward Chelcie Forrester's record night last Wednesday earned her NJCAA DII Women's Player of the Week for games played January 17-23, 2024, it was announced this week. Forrester scored 43 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in an overtime win against Allegany on January 17. She exploded for 25 points between the fourth quarter and OT to lead the Catamounts to an 82-78 win over the Division I Trojans.

Forrester has proven to be key player for the Catamounts this season averaging 17.5 points and 10.9 rebounds per game with eight double-double performances. Her 52.7% field goal percentage ranks third among Region 20 Division II players, where she also ranks second with an 82.4% free throw percentage. 

The Catamounts (6-5) return to action on Saturday, January 27, when they travel to Montgomery College for a Region 20 matchup with the Raptors before returning home on 31st when they face off with Harford Community College.
