Hawks Fall to Cheyney

The College of Southern Maryland Hawks women's basketball team fell to Cheyney University 66-50 on November 16.

CSM started off the game keeping things close as they ended the first quarter trailing only 15-8. Both teams struggled to get their half-court sets in rhythm.

The Hawks forced lots of turnovers by disrupting passing lanes and sustaining good half-court pressure at times, but they struggled to capitalize on their opportunities on the offensive end.

Eventually, Cheyney started pulling away from CSM from the second quarter on.

Sophomore Angeleen Mulero led the way for CSM in scoring with 19 points on 7-14 shooting from the field and 4-6 from the free-throw line. She also had four assists and a team-high four steals.

Sophomore Lillian Reynolds flirted with a triple-double, scoring eight points with eight rebounds and a career-high 11 blocks.

CSM drops to 0-3 overall in the young season.
