Domination: Cardinals Crush Monroe Community College!

In one of their most dominant performances of the year, the CCBC Catonsville Cardinals women's basketball team dispatched Monroe Community College 69-44 on Sunday to finish up their bracket in the Thunderwolves Classic!

The Cardinals held an opponent to under 60 points for the seventh time this season, recording 21 steals, snagging 23 defensive rebounds, and forcing 31 turnovers. It was the perfect response for the Cardinals after they had allowed the most points all season in the previous match against host Niagara.

After a relatively close first quarter, the Cardinals entered the second up 15-12. The defense awakened, holding Monroe CC to just nine total points in the quarter. The Tribunes never threatened the Cardinal lead again, as Catonsville rolled through the second half to claim their eighth victory of the season.

Leading the way for the Cardinals offensively was sophomore guard Tenea Robinson (Baltimore Poly Tech), who dropped 23 points, five assists, and ten steals. Sophomore forward Dasia Townes (Baltimore Poly Tech) added 14 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists. Freshman forward Serafina Stubbs (Owings Mills) came off the bench to add ten points and eight rebounds.

Sitting at 8-2, the Cardinals find themselves third in Region 20 and will face second-ranked Prince George's Community College on Friday!
