Region XX well represented in NJCAA DIII Cross Country Championships


At the recent NJCAA Division III Cross Country Championships, Region XX programs represented themselves very well at the National level.


Jared Hallow (Potomac State) was the top finisher among the Region XX men placing 2nd overall with a time of 27:08 earning 1st team All American status. Corey Young (Howard) placed 6th with a time of 27:52 for second team status.

In the team scoring, Howard placed 3rd while Potomac State was 4th.

For the women, Maggie Niland placed 4th overall with a time of 19:22 earning first team status.   Mary Kuch (Anne Arundel) was 8th (19:50) for second team and Amani Jones (Howard) was 13th (20:17) for third team honors.

The Anne Arundel women just missed the podium placing 4th as a team by 1 point. The Howard women were 8th.

Anchored by two runners finishing in the top ten, Suffolk County (N.Y.) claimed victory in the 2015 NJCAA Division III Women’s Cross Country Championship. Harper College (Ill.) seized the 2015 NJCAA Men’s DIII Cross Country Championship

The NJCAA DIII National Championship took place Nov. 7 in Westfield, MA.
