Cardinals Drop Second in a Row

Catonsville, MD- The Cardinals fall to the Hawks 92-76.

After coming off a huge loss to Howard, Catonsville was looking to crawl back into the win column with a weeknight matchup against the visiting CSM Hawks. However, despite a game that at the half Catonsville led by two, they would lose by a disappointing 16 points.

Tamaron Hargett and John McNeal would each lead the team with 15 points on the evening, while Miles Gaynair was a close second with 12. Hargett and McNeal also would lead the team with five and four assists, respectively. On the defensive side of the game, McNeal and recent addition Kevin Makle would record seven and eight rebounds. Mackle would also post an impressive three blocks.

As a whole, the team would post a mere 38.6 field-goal percentage, and only shot 5-14 from the three. After having three athletes foul out and one sit out due to injury, the Cardinals would have the finish the contest with only four men on the court.

Catonsville looks to land back in the win column as they head to Navy JV on Thursday, January 16th. The game will begin at approximately 5:45 P.M.
