Women's Basketball falls to Allegany College of Maryland

The AACC women's basketball team was defeated by the Allegany College of Maryland by a score of 70-58 in MDJUCO conference action from the Jenkins Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

AACC shot 35.3 percent from the floor on 24-68 shooting.  The Riverhawks went 2-16 from behind the arc, and were 8-18 from the foul line.  Jasmine Wallace led the Riverhawks with 12 pts and 8 rebounds.  Dania Taylor and Bri'ana Oliver follow, putting up 11 and 10 points.

Despite leading at the end of the first quarter, the Riverhawks could not contain the Trojans' offensive with starters Shala Shuler and Kyria Wilhelm each scoring 18 points.  Although fouling out in the fourth quarter, Kierra Turner led the Trojan offense, scoring 20 points.

The women return to action on Wednesday, January 13th as they hit the road for so more MDJUCO conference action play at the College of Southern Maryland.  Tip-off is at 5 p.m.
