Harford Runs Past Women's Basketball

ARNOLD, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College women's basketball team suffered an 81-31 loss at the hands of Harford Community College Monday evening at Jenkins Gym. Sophomore Sarah Healy recorded her 16th double-double of the season in the game with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Sydney Woodland joined Healy in double-digit scoring with 10 points to go with two assists, a pair of steals, and a block. Ruth Marshall pulled down 10 rebounds to go with three points.

Harford led from wire to wire, holding the Riverhawks to just eight points in the first quarter while pouring in 24. A 13-5 second quarter sent the Fighting Owls to the locker room with a 37-13 lead.

AACC was held to just three points in the third, all from Healy. The Riverhawks found double-digits in the fourth quarter, led by five each from Healy and Lacey Hinkle.

Harford outrebounded its hosts at a 66-43 clip, and turned 28 AACC turnovers into 31 points.

The Riverhawks are back in action in a 1 pm game at Garrett College on Sunday, February 2nd.
