Men’s Basketball Drops Nail Biter to CCAC Allegheny

November 23, 2019 - - The Lorain County Community College Men's Basketball team overcame a 15-point deficit to CCAC Allegheny in the second half and it was neck and neck for the teams with LCCC trailing 99-100 with 11.5 seconds to go. LCCC missed the go-ahead shot on an inbounds play and had to foul, sending the Wildcats to the line, where they capitalized by hitting both for the lead and an eventual 102-99 win.

LCCC's Jaylen Jenkins (Willoughby/Willoughby South) made some key buckets during the comeback run and led the Commodores with 25 points, 10 assists, and three steals, to turn in his first double-double of the season. He also grabbed six rebounds, while teammate Jodeci Crite (Lorain) had a team-high of nine. Kevin Tucker (Cleveland/James Fords Rhodes) had 13 points and DeMaris Conner (Shaker Heights) contributed 12, as well as four assists and two steals.

Lorain will be back in action when they travel to Jamestown Community College for a matchup at 7 p.m., Monday, December 2, 2019. The loss drops LCCC to 2-5 on the season.
