ARNOLD, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College women's basketball team has earned the number two seed in the upcoming Region XX Division III Championship, it was announced today. The Riverhawks (2-1) will face Butler County Community College (1-2) in the semifinals at 2 pm Saturday, February 22 at Westmoreland County Community College.

The Riverhawks previously defeated BC3, 63-53, at home on December 8, 2019, behind double-doubles from Sarah Healy (23 pts, 22 rebs), Autumn Foster-Fields (20 pts, 19 rebs), and Lacey Hinkle (15 pts, 13 rebs). AACC dominated the paint with a 44-10 advantage, and posted a season-high 69 rebounds to BC3's 37.

Prince George's earned the top seed with a 2-0 record, and will play fourth seed Westmoreland Saturday at 12 pm. The semifinal winners will face off in the championship Sunday, February 23, at 12 pm.

Ticket prices for the tournament are $5 general admission, $2 for kids 12 and under, and free for college students with valid ID.
