Saturday, February 1st at Garrett College
McHenry, MD—Garrett College stuns the Cardinals 96-79.
Four of the five starters for the Cardinals ended the game in double figures, Tamaron Hargett (18), Andre McFadden (12), John McNeal (19), and Kevin Makle (15). As a team they shot 57.7% from the field (30-52). However they couldn't connect from beyond the arc only shooting 36% (4-11). The Lakers took the lead going into the second half 50-36, the Cards matched the Lakers 46-46, though it wasn't enough to pull out the victory.
Joacquin Gonzalez and Aaron Massey were sparks off the bench. They shoot 5-11 combined giving the Cardinals 13 points. Also after this game, this marks the third game in a row that McFadden has scored in double digits (22, 11, 12).
Sunday, February 2nd at Community College of Beaver County
Monaca, PA—Cardinals can't catch a break in loss to Titans.
Tamaron Hargett led the Cards with 15 points. The Cards shot 50% from the field (21-42). Again the team struggled to connect from three, shooting 30.8% (4-13). What killed them the most, the Titans were shooting 45.8% from the three (11-24).
In the past four games played, Kevin Makle has finished in the double digits (17, 26, 15, 11). Hargett and John McNeal who in three of the last four games have also been in double figures.
The Cardinals will be facing Prince George's Community College on February 5th at 7 P.M. They will be looking to try to snap their losing streak.
