Potomac State rolls past Westmoreland CCC

Youngwood, Pa. – Potomac State College exited a timeout with six minutes remaining in the first half of their NJCAA Region XX Men's Basketball game against Westmoreland County Community College with a small 34-28 lead. The Catamounts stepped on the throttle to finish the half on a 30-3 run for a 64-31 halftime advantage.

After the dominating finish of the first half PSC controlled play throughout the second, outscoring WCCC 55-35 and wrapping up a commanding 119-66 win.

Corey Allision led all scorers with 26 points hitting 10 of 17 shots from the floor including four out of six three pointers and two of three from the charity stripe.

Joining Allision with double figure points were teammates Qualeke Busch (20), Cortney Walton (14), Anthony Clendenin (14), DeAngelo Clendenin (11) and Jordan Davis (10).

Anthony Clendenin collected a game-high 15 rebounds for a double-double and Davis handed out a game-high 10 assists to complete a double-double of his own.

Dan McQuaide had 18 points and Joel Lonigro 14 points to lead Westmoreland.

Potomac State (10-4) returns to action Friday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. when they host the Community College of Allegheny County at Lough Gymnasium.
