Keyser, W.Va. – Jalynn Montgomery scored 24 points and teammate Marleigh Bays added 20 for WVU Potomac State College Friday evening to lead the Lady Catamounts to an 80-43 win over Butler County Community College in NJCAA Region XX women's basketball action at Butler, Pa.

Head coach Larry Kruk believes the Catamounts defense made the difference, "We played great on the defensive end tonight, great effort. Hard work on the defensive end serves as an offensive catalyst."

Montgomery's game-high 24 points came on 10 of 18 shooting (1-4 from 3pt.) and 3 of 4 free throws. She also had 7 rebounds. Bays was 9 of 12 from the field (2-3 on 3 pt.)  and had a game-high 10 rebounds. Alexis Turner and Makenzie Hartman also reached double figures for PSC with 10 points each.

Potomac State's record now stands at 2 wins and 2 losses (Potomac State forfeited their Nov. 15 game vs Anne Arundel CC after self-reporting an ineligible player). Their next game is Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 5:30 p.m. vs Montgomery College at Rockville, Md.
