Cardinals Lose Exhibition Contest

Dundalk, MD- The Cardinals failed to overcome a first-half deficit that resulted in a Lion's victory. The Cardinals were almost able to match the Lion's starters in number of points totaled at the end of the contest. With two starters tallying double digits, the Cardinals seemed to be in sync with the tempo of the game leading up to the second half. Tamaron Hargett finished the contest with a double-double, thirteen points and ten rebounds. Micko Reeves registered another ten points with eight rebounds to round out the team's top two scorers. Although the Cardinals lost, the team has hope knowing their reserve players outscored the Lion's bench twenty-six to their twenty-five points.  The stat line from both teams seemed almost identical in points, rebounds, assists, and turnovers collectively. In addition, the shot percentage in field goals made by both teams differed by about seven percent, with the Dundalk netting a higher percentage. The Cardinals almost matched the Lions in second half points, although it wasn't enough to overcome the first half deficit they had placed themselves in. Dundalk edged the Cardinals in rebounds by forty-eight to forty-seven. The number of turnovers resulted in twenty-two committed by the Cardinals and nineteen from the Lions.

The Cardinals will look to rebound from this defeat when they travel to Mercer Community College on Saturday, Dec. 7th at 2:00pm in a mixer event.
