DUBOIS, Pa. - Although three players scored in double digits, the Westmoreland County Community College women's basketball team shot just 29 percent from the floor in dropping an 83-58 decision at Penn State-DuBois Tuesday night.
The home team gradually pulled away in the game, crafting a 44-28 lead by halftime and continuing onto the victory. The top scorer for the Wolfpack was Dymond Crawford, who scored 15 of her 20 points in the second half. Recording a double-double in the game was Mackenzie Markle, who tossed in 16 markers and hauled down 12 rebounds, while Hannah Hempfield collected 13 points and four steals. Although Markle had a double-double, Julea Claycomb had top rebounding honors for the Wolfpack with 16.
Westmoreland will be back at home for its next game when it hosts Garrett College Friday evening at 5 pm.
