Cardinals Kick Off Spring Break with Massive Win

Kicking off their spring break road trip in style, the CCBC Catonsville Cardinals softball team unleashed their frustrations on Christendom College with a dominant 19-0 win.

Every single Cardinal player managed at least one hit, with the Cardinals winning via the mercy rule in the fifth inning.

After two scoreless innings, the Cardinals unloaded four runs in the top of the third. This was followed by another five runs in the top of the fourth. Leading 9-0, the Cardinals added ten more runs in the top of the fifth to end the contest early.

Sophomore outfielder Abigail Heagy (Eastern Tech) led the way for the Cardinals with a double, triple, and four RBIs. Freshman catcher Caelyn Voss (Catonsville) scored a triple and two RBIs. Freshman second baseman Katie Weaver (Eastern Tech) had a career day with a double, triple, and three RBIs, while freshman third baseman Tori Bache (Northeast) put together another solid day with a double and two RBIs. Freshman Alix Alladin (Woodlawn) and Mattie Brack (Our Lady of Mount Carmel) each added two RBIs.
