Westmoreland Falls to Cuyahoga

Westmoreland County Community College couldn't keep up with Cuyahoga Community College, and fell 10-0 on Monday in game one of a doubleheader.

The Wolfpack only managed 2 hits.  Jack McBride and Jake Piktel each managed one hit to lead the Wolfpack.

Connor Lee took the loss for Westmoreland going four and a third innings. The pitcher allowed 14 hits and ten runs, while striking out one.

 

Monday's game 2 against Cuyahoga Community College was a heartbreaker for Westmoreland, as they lost late in a 6-5 defeat.  The game was tied at five with Cuyahoga Community College batting in the top of the seventh when Cuyahoga singled, scoring what ended up being the winning run.

Westmoreland notched three runs in the third inning.  The Wolfpack's offense in the inning came from a walk by Logan Short and a single by Dom Koch.

Tyler Husband made teh start for Westmoreland. The pitcher allowed 11 hits and five runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out one.

Koch went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Wolfpack in hits.  While McBride, Joe Druga, Kameron Pritts, also recorded hits in the game.  Runs were driven in by Short (1), Koch (2), Druga (1), and Ronnie Howard (1).

Next up for the wolfpack will be a home doubleheader on Wednesday against Lorain Community College, with first pitch at 1pm.
