The Cannoneers looked to bounce back with a double header against the Montgomery Raptors. Jefferson's offense started early and often scoring in all but 1 inning. Emily Birmingham and Brooke Beleza led the way with 2 hits a piece, both driving in 3 RBIs. Sophomore Rachael Shackleton took the mound for her first start of the year and pitched a complete game shutout; striking out 5 and allowing just 5 hits. Jefferson took game 1, 8-0 in 6 innings.
Game 2 saw Shackleton tally 3 hits with a double, as late insurance runs driven in by Torie Moore and Hailey McGrew helped propel the Cannoneers to a game 2 victory. Emily Birmingham picked up her first collegiate win pitching 5 innings of 1 run ball, whilst the Cannoneers go on to win game 2 by a score of 4-1.
