Baseball Clipped by Prince George's

LARGO, MD – Trailing by two, the Anne Arundel Community College baseball team surrendered three runs in the seventh inning to fall to host Prince George's Community College, 7-2, Tuesday afternoon in MDJUCO action.

Patrick Mason went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored to lead the Riverhawks. Logan Kirk struck out four and allowed four runs on five hits in six innings of work. Gage Utz finished out the final two innings, allowing three runs on one hit while walking four.

The Owls got on the board in the third with a two-run double, and took a 3-0 lead scoring on a wild pitch in the fourth.

Shelby Wheeler drove in a run in the fifth for the Riverhawks, and Cam Rees plated another in the sixth with a sac fly to bring AACC within one run, 3-2.

Despite turning a double play in the sixth, the Riverhawks allowed one Owls run in the frame before the hosts scored three in the seventh on just one hit.

EJ Santana, Matt Johnson, and KJ Jarrett also collected hits for AACC in the game.
