Potomac State rebounds with a win over Monroe College

Bel Air, Md. – Corey Allision led four Catamounts in double figures with 21 points as WVU Potomac State College rebounded from a Saturday loss to beat Monroe College 83-72 Sunday afternoon in the Harford Hoops Classic at Harford Community College's APG Federal Credit Union Arena.

Allision converted 6 of 8 field goals including 2 of 4 three pointers and went 7 of 8 from the free throw line.

Breland Walton and Jordan Davis chipped in 15 points each and DeAngelo Clendenin added 14 points. Walton also had nine rebounds.

Zion Styles led Monroe with a game-high 23 points on 8-17 shooting including 1-5 from three-point range and 6-12 free throws. Juan Felix Rodriguez turned in a double-double with 18 points, 10 rebounds and Elijah Mitchell added 14 points to pace the Mustangs.

Potomac State (7-4) has a three-week holiday break before returning to action at Penn Highlands Community College on Monday, Jan. 13. In the latest NJCAA Division II Basketball Poll they were receiving votes listed just outside the top 20.

Monroe drops to 10-4. In last week's NJCAA Division I Basketball Poll they too were receiving votes just outside of the top 20.
