Cardinals Narrowly Beat Cross-Town Rival CCBC Essex

Essex, Md. – The Cardinals traveled to CCBC Essex to take on the cross-town rival Knights on Sunday.  Catonsville got off to a solid 11-6 lead through the 7th by playing a very aggressive game offensively.  Seven different Cardinals scored runs, while 6 recorded RBI's against the Knights.  The Knights then tacked up 5 runs over the 8th and 9th inning, while Catonsville only recorded one run to give them the slight 11-12 win over Essex. 

Zeke Maldonado had a stellar game, recording 4 runs, 2 hits, and an RBI with only 4 at-bats.  Aronne Dutton also played well, logging 2 runs, 2 hits, and 2 RBI's.  Hunter Todd added 2 runs, 3 hits, and an RBI as well.  The Cardinals were led on the mound by Tyler Green, Trevor Smoot, and Kieran Garner
