Lions Drop Two to Chesapeake
by Tyriq D. Smith
The CCBC Dundalk Lions Baseball team faced a tough challenge in their doubleheader against Chesapeake College, suffering defeats in both games. The first game ended in a 10-0 loss, and the second game went into the 7th inning before finishing with an 11-1 score line. These losses drop the Lions' record to 0-10 on the season, continuing their difficult start to the year.
Despite the setbacks, the Lions showed some bright spots offensively. In the first game, Ethan Early, JP Morales, and Sung Kim all recorded hits, and the team continued to battle throughout the game. In the second game, Ryan Kennedy scored the lone run for Dundalk, and Carter Costango contributed with an RBI. While the offense was limited by Chesapeake's strong pitching and defense, the Lions were able to generate some positive moments as they look to build on their performances.
Looking ahead, the Lions will have a chance to bounce back when they host CCBC Essex for a CCBC showdown on March 13th. The first game of the doubleheader is scheduled to start at 1:00 PM, with the second game slated for 3:30 PM. The Lions will be eager to get their first win of the season and take advantage of the home field advantage in this upcoming matchup.
