Cardinals Put Up Historic Numbers in Dominant Win

CCBC Catonsville's men's basketball team celebrated a historic win last Friday, defeating Westmoreland County Community College 137-49.

The Cardinals put up the second-most points in program history, coming one point short of the record of 138 set in 1980. Eight Cardinal players scored in double-digits, while the defense forced 27 turnovers and scooped up 65 rebounds.

Leading the Cardinals in scoring was sophomore forward Albright Obode (Plainfield), who shot 9 for 11 with 21 points and seven rebounds. Freshman guard Di'Quan Green (Carver Vo Tech), making his second start of the season, added 15 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Sophomore guard Murray Grant (Obra D. Tomkins) scored 12 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals, while sophomore forward Jason Ogbolu (Calvert Hall) added 11 points and six rebounds.

Off the bench, sophomore guard Jo-Nathan Kelly (Strawberry Mansion) scored 18 points, five rebounds, and six assists. Sophomore guard Prince Anderson (Millwood) nailed four three-pointers for 12 points, while freshman guard Sean Clark (Mount St. Joseph) added 11 points. Sophomore forward Andre Stallings-McCargo (Sparrows Point) tied his career high with eleven points.

In all, every Cardinal player scored at least two points in the dominant display.
