Four Sophomores Recognized in Final Home Contest

NORTH EAST, Md. - The Seahawks fell in their final home match of the season Wednesday to Northern Virginia, 3-1.

Cecil volleyball honored Lily Landis, Katelyn Norman-Wilson, Skylar Klingler, and Nora Watkins prior to the contest. Landis, Norman-Wilson, and Klingler competed in all 35 of the Seahawks matches over the past two season. Watkins finished just behind them with 29 games.

The sophomores did not go down without a fight, keeping all four sets close. Cecil managed to push the match to a fourth set after winning the third, 25-20.

As they have all season, freshman Katarina Kuchera and Camryn Anzalone led the Seahawks in kills. The two combined for 17 of Cecil's 35 for the game. Mollee Fraker stepped up and picked up seven kills as well.

In their final home match, Landis (19 digs) and Klingler (17 assists) led Cecil in their respective departments.

The loss drops the Seahawks to 7-8 on the year.
