CCBC Catonsville vs Allegany College of Maryland Game 2 Recap

On April 6th, the CCBC Catonsville Cardinals hosted Allegany College of Maryland Trojans in a double header. In the second game of the double header the Cardinals would dominate this games as they won 13-3 in a run rule moving their winning streak to 11 games. 

In the 1st inning the Trojans would get on the board first scoring three runs, but the Cardinals would answer back with one of their own after a Tank Kelley (Winter Park) walk and then a Tyler Sankovich (Laurel Highlands) singled to right Nick Stergiou (Broadneck) would hit a sacrifice fly to left field to score Kelley from third. 

In the 2nd inning, Alex Valdez (Blair) would lead off the inning with a solo homerun to left field then after a Gavin Faulkner (Edgewater) single and Jake Long (Arundel) reached on an error by the shortstop Tank Kelley would hit a double down the left field line to score both Faulkner and Long. Then after a Nick Stergiou walk and Nelson Grajales (Arundel) was hit by the pitch with base loaded Elijah Charlot (University Christian) would walk and that would score Kelley from third. Making the score 5-3 Cardinals. 

In the 3rd inning after back-to-back singles from Gavin Faulkner and Jake Long, Tank Kelley would walk to load the bases for Tyler Sankovich, he would also walk to score Faulkner from third then Trenton Synder (Oak Park) would single to left center to score Long and Kelley. Then Nick Stergiou would single to center to score Sankovich then Elijah Charlot would hit a sacrifice fly to center to score Synder. Making the score 10-3 Cardinals 

In the 5th inning, Tyler Sankovich started the inning with a double-to-left field, then after a Nick Stergiou walk, Nelson Grajales would reach on an error by the third baseman, which would score Sankovich. Then when Grajales stole second and on a bad throw from the catcher it would allow Stergiou to score from third. Making the score 12-3 Cardinals 

In the 6th inning, after five scoreless innings from Jakson Bauer (Mt. St. Joe) Jake long would start the bottom half of the inning with another single then after Tank Kelley walked and Trenton Synder intentional walk Nick Stergiou would single up the middle to score long from third and end the game due to run rule 13-3. After this game it makes the Cardinals 18-9 on the season a 11-0 in Region XX play and extends their win streak to 11 games
