Luke Pietrandrea took the mound for the Cougars, delivering a commendable performance by recording 14 outs across four and two-thirds innings. The left-handed pitcher demonstrated impressive control, allowing just two hits and one run while striking out seven batters and walking three.
The Cougars opened the scoring in the top of the fourth inning thanks to a clutch single from Braydon Kelman. This timely hit set the stage for an explosive top of the sixth, where Shawn Karpaitis electrified the crowd with a solo inside-the-park home run, extending the Cougars' lead.
