NORTH EAST, MD – The Anne Arundel Community College men's basketball team fell at No. 12 Cecil College, 103-62, Wednesday evening in MDJUCO action. Davon Jones led AACC with 19 points in his sixth-straight double-digit scoring effort.

Jones, who went seven of 16 from the floor and three of seven from three-point range, added six defensive rebounds. Joining Jones in double figures were Jamar Young (10 pts) and Joseph Chase (11 pts, 6 assists).

AACC built up a 10-point lead by the halfway point of the first half, thanks in part to 12 points from Jones in the span. But Cecil stormed back to take the lead while holding the Riverhawks scoreless for almost five minutes. AACC brought it back to within one, but the Hawks extended the lead to 12 by the break.

The Riverhawks were plagued by turnovers in the second half, committing 12 in the frame, and struggled from the floor, sinking just six of 35 attempts in the stanza as Cecil doubled them up in points, 51-22.

AACC closes out the regular season Monday, February 17th in a 7 pm game at NOVA. The Riverhawks will honor the team's sophomores at halftime of the women's game against Montgomery College Saturday, February 12th. Tip is set for 1 pm.
