Women’s Soccer Drops Home Opener to Mercer County Community College

Catonsville, MD- Defensive struggles lead to tough loss for the Cardinals.

The home opener did not go accordingly for first year head coach Karmo Bolay and the Cardinals. Mercer opened up with a goal in the 8th minute and did not look back on the way to a 12-0 defeat of the home squad. Nine Mercer players recorded a goal with forward Jamie Ervin leading the way with a hat trick.

The bright spot for the Cardinals on the day was goalkeeper Jenna Dade. Dade played all 90 minutes in the net recording an astounding 23 saves.

The Cardinals next game will take place on Saturday, September 7th at 1PM as they travel to Potomac State to take on the Catamounts.
