Bastian Campos Plays Hero in Double-Overtime Win

It took 108 minutes for the Cardinals to secure the win at Harford on Friday night. Each team had their opportunities early but the two sides went to halftime scoreless. The scoring got started quickly in the 2nd half as Harford's Auston Pellegrino gave them the 1-0 advantage.

The Cardinals answered less than four minutes after falling behind as Jose Zuniga-Gallegos scored his first goal of the season and tied the game at one a piece with 36 minutes remaining. The contest would remain tied for the rest of the 2nd half as it would take overtime to decide the winner.

Neither team could find the back of the net in the first 10 minute period and the teams headed for double overtime. The teams seemed to be heading for a draw when with just two minutes remaining Bastian Campos scored for the Cardinals to give them the victory.

This is now three wins in their last four tries for the team and brings their overall record to 5-5-1 on the year. The Cardinals will be back in action on Tuesday, September 24th at 6PM as they host Montgomery College.
