Hagerstown Community College Beats AACC, 83-71, With Strong Second Half

HAGERSTOWN, MD – Hagerstown Community College outscored Anne Arundel Community College 50-35 in the second half to secure their 83-71 win during Saturday's MD JUCO men's basketball match-up.

AACC falls to 4-16 overall at 2-7 in the conference as Hagerstown improved to 9-10 overall and 7-2 in the conference.

Marcus Dentley recorded his second straight double-double (fourth of the season) for the Riverhawks, scoring 28 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.  Larry Stevenson followed with 16 points and Wesley Bennett with 15.

AACC shot 50% from behind the arc, hitting 8-16, and went 11-14 from the foul line, but Hagerstown's controlling offense was undeniable in the second half. 

The Riverhawks look to bounce back with a win as they host the Owls of Prince George Community College tomorrow night (Wednesday, January 20th) in the Jenkins Gymnasium.  Tip-off at 7:00 p.m.
