AACC falls to College of Southern Maryland

LA PLATA, MD – NJCAA DII College of Southern Maryland women's basketball team extended their winning streak to four straight games as they defeated visiting Anne Arundel Community College in a MD JUCO match-up.  This is the second time this season that our Riverhawks have fell to the DII Hawks.

Mary Ajoh Kuch and Jasmine Wallace led with 12 points each for Anne Arundel in the 97-63 loss to the College of Southern Maryland.  The Riverhawks shot 41.5 percent hitting 27-65 and were 6-11 at the foul the line.  At 18.8%, just 3-16 from behind the arc, it was tough for the Riverhawks to close the gap for the fast-scoring Hawks of Southern Maryland.

With a string of conference and divisional games coming up, the Riverhawks hope to turn their luck and materialize some wins.  They hit the road once again for a match-up at Hagerstown Community College on Saturday January 16th for some more MD JUCO action.  Tip-off at 1:00 p.m.
