Bel Air, Md. – The WVU Potomac State College Catamounts suffered their worst shooting performance of the season on the same day they faced their toughest opponent to date, Harcum College. That combination lead to a 99-77 defeat at the hands of the Harcum Bears Saturday afternoon in the Harford Hoops Classic at Harford Community College.

Corey Allision hit 3-pointers on consecutive possessions to give Potomac State a 14-13 lead at the 14:11 mark of the first half but Harcum outscored the Catamounts 40-20 from there to take a commanding 53-34 lead at halftime.

The Catamounts were unable to close the gap in the second half with Harcum playing in lead-maintenance mode. A 13-point margin at the 11:56 mark was as close as Potomac State was able to cut into the lead.

Potomac State, who have a 49.6 field goal percentage and a 36.8 three-point field goal percentage on the season, shot just 36.5 percent front the field and 21.4 percent from three-point range for the game.

Corey Allision led Potomac State with 20 points. Teammate Breland Walton scored 18 points and had a team-high 8 rebounds.

NJCAA Division I Harcum was led by Nick Brennan's 23 points and 11 rebounds, both game-highs, and Valdir Manuel's 20 points.

The Catamounts face Monroe College (N.Y.) tomorrow, Dec. 22 at 4:00 p.m. for their final game of the 2019 Harford Hoops Classic.
