Game Notes

The Riverhawk men's soccer team dropped, 2-0, against Regional, Conference & Divisional opponents; Owls from Prince George's Community College this past Friday night (10/5). Playing at home, the Riverhawks fought hard in the nearly scoreless battle – before the Owls were able to claim the win during the final minutes of play.

With upcoming Region XX tournament seeding around the corner, each team fought relentlessly during the important match-up. With strong defense a factor, the two teams each posted just 2 shots during the first half. Scoreless as the first 45 minutes ended, Austin Noland (Glen Burnie, MD/Glen Burnie) would record one save.

The second half would continue to display the tireless efforts of each team, as the match remained scoreless at the 77th minute. The Owls would give end to the scoring drought, finishing off the rebound of an initial save made by Noland (3 saves on the day) right infront of the net.  With just a few minutes left to play, the Owls would put another point on the board, as a deep goal kick would lead to a successful finish on net. Now down by two and not enough time remaining, the Riverhawks were unable to find the net so the two late goals would earn Prince George's Community College the 2-0 victory.
