Jayhawks End Regular Season With 17th Win In A Row!

The JCC Jayhawks Women's Volleyball Team (23-5) traveled to face the Pioneers of Butler County Community College for the final game of the regular season.  A strong Jayhawks team that has won 16 games in a row would face off against a strong Pioneers team that also has had an impressive win streak this season.  However, the first set did not seem like two strong teams as the Jayhawks won soundly 25-9.  The second set had the Pioneers rebound and give the Jayhawks a run for their money losing a close set 25-20.  The Pioneers came on strong in the final set but the Jayhawks did what they had done all season, stay steady and continue to attack as they won the final set over the Pioneers 25-22 to win the match 3-0 for the 17th win in a row.  The Jayhawks were led by #9 SallyAnne Rudny (Jamestown) who had 17 kills and 3 aces; #10 Madison Alexander (Jamestown) had 5 kills and 8 digs; #8 Erin Butman (Jamestown) had 5 kills and 3 blocks; #7 Miranda Gross (Little Valley) had 31 assists, 5 aces, and 5 digs; #2 Destiney Portlow (Olean) had 5 kills; #4 Ashley Butman (Jamestown) had 5 digs and 4 aces; #3 Kaitlyn Hoth (Cherry Creek) had 9 digs; and #1 Mallory Stearns (South Dayton) had 7 digs.
