Largo, MD—Cardinals can't shake off their losing streak.

John McNeal had himself a game, leading the team with 18 points. Andre McFadden and Tamaron Hargett also were good contributing factors to the team both logging in 14 points. These trio of players have been in double figures in scoring in the at least four of the past five games.

Joacquin Gonzalez off the bench had 16 points. Shooting 50% (6-12) in the game and having the hot hand from three, where he got 12 of is 16. As well what can't go unnoticed, Miles Gaynair had 10 assists in the game, which is his highest in the season so far.

Throughout the first half, the Cardinals were playing catchup against the Owls with 2-0 being the only lead they had in the half and the game. The Owls had 10 offensive rebounds and forcing the Cardinals to commit 12 turnovers, lead to points for the Owls. Gonzalez led the team with 13 points in the first, shooting 5-6 from the field, with being 3-4 from three. In the half there were times the Cardinals couldn't catch a break and make a shot when the Owls kept on hitting theirs, with the score at the end being 34-47.

Starting the second half, McNeal and McFadden decided to take charge of the half and score double digits; however, the Owls decided to match them. The Cardinals got as close to being down by 10 multiple times throughout the half, but couldn't get the Owl's lead down to single digits. A big turning point in the game is when the Owls went on 5-0 and 7-0 runs against the Cards; the final being 82-103. Throughout the game, the Cardinals committed 21 turnovers and gave up 17 offensive rebounds leading to 26 points off turnovers and 26 first chance points for the Owls.
