Freshman forwards Kayla Davila (Buena) and Kylie Guarente (Washington Twp.) scored goals while sophomore midfielder Megan Lord  (Glassboro) had two assists to lead the RCGC women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over host Howard Community College (MD) Sunday afternoon.

 

The win was the second straight for the Roadrunners following an opening day loss and enabled the squad to sweep two opponents in a weekend trip to Maryland. RCGC edged Montgomery Rockville on Saturday. 

 

Davila and Guarente tallied their goals in the second half following a scoreless first half as the Runners claimed a 2-0 lead. Lord assisted on both goals. 

 

The scoring closed out when RCGC scored on a Howard own goal at the 64:37 mark of the second half. 

 

Goalkeeper Michelle Salomoni posted the shutout to improve her overall record to 2-1. 

 

Coach Meghan Ruttler's team will travel to Mercer County College on Thursday, August 30 fore their next match.
