The Route 220 Rivalry was renewed Wednesday night at Lough Gymnasium as the Catamounts (6-9) hosted the Trojans (15-2) of Allegany College of Maryland.

The Catamounts jumped out to an early 9-3 lead after a quick five points from Rodney Vilsaint. The Trojans edged closer going on a 17-4 scoring run taking a 20-13 advantage halfway through the 1st. Potomac State trailed by 15 at one point, but cut the deficit to 12 points 50-38 heading into the break. Allegany's Lamont Jones scored 22 points in the first half, leading both teams.

The Trojans came out firing to start the 2nd half going up by 18 in the first five minutes 60-42. After going down 21 points, the Catamounts pulled back within reach 75-63 with 6:55 remaining in the game and that's as close as they would reach falling 92-78.

Allegany's Lamont Jones scored a game high 30 points shooting 5/7 behind the arc alongside Tyson Oghene with 15 points and CamRon Brown with 13 points, 10 assists, and 4 steals.

Potomac State was led by Damian Thompson with 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. Rodney Vilsaint and Salem Olusoji added 13 points each and Daniel Charlot added 11 points. The Catamounts are back in action Sunday January 21st at Frederick Community College.
