Wolfpack Loose Rubber Match with PSU Fayette
The Westmoreland Wolfpack Baseball team were strong against Penn state fayette on Sunday, but it wasn't enough as Westmoreland CCC Baseball 2023 fell 16-6.
Westmoreland struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Penn state fayette, giving up 16 runs.
Penn state fayette took an early lead in the second inning. Penn state fayette took the lead for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third McNight singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs and Joe Druga induced Iannou to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.
Druga took the loss for Westmoreland CCC Baseball 2023. Druga surrendered eight runs on eight hits over four innings, striking out seven.
The Wolfpack tallied nine hits on the day. Alex Borges, Kam Pritts, and Jack McBride each racked up multiple hits for Westmoreland CCC Baseball 2023. McBride, Pritts, and Borges all had two hits to lead Westmoreland.
The team is now off until they host Finger Lakes Community College in a four game set on Saturday and Sunday.
