Keyser, W.Va. – Breland Walton matched his season high with 32 points and pulled 14 rebounds to lead WVU Potomac State College to a 95-87 win over the Community College of Allegheny County Friday evening in NJCAA Region XX basketball action at Lough Gymnasium.

Walton, who has missed the last four games while in concussion protocol, reached his point total by shooting 14 of 20 from the field and 4 of 9 from the foul line, eight of his 14 rebounds were on the offensive end.

Coach Neil Epstein welcomed Walton back to the line-up. "Breland missed one month, we weren't sure if we would have him back tonight, we're a totally different team with him in the line-up, we are happy to have him back," said the Catamount head coach.

Potomac State jumped out to an early 9-2 on a Corey Allision layup at the 17:26 mark of the first half. That seven-point lead proved to be the largest of the first half. CCAC took a 16-15 lead when Shyeim Faulkner hit a foul shot to complete a traditional three-point play at the 14:03 mark. Each team held the lead three more times for the remainder of the see-saw half, the largest lead being a 29-24 CCAC advantage with 8:50 on the clock. PSC held a 47-46 lead at halftime.

PSC jumped out to an early second-half advantage only to see the Wildcats claw their way back to the lead at 68-67 with 11:17 remaining. When Potomac State's Keon Lewis hit a layup for a 73-72 lead at the 9:15 mark the Catamounts never looked back. Walton took charge scoring 11 of his 21 second-half points down the stretch. The Potomac State lead reached double digits with just under three minutes to play before closing out the win at 95-87.

Anthony Clendenin had 18 points and Allision 17 to join Walton in double-figures. The Catamounts Jordan Davis had a game-high 11 assists.

Faulkner led CCAC with 30 points followed by Jalen Rogers with 21 points and Jayonne Walker with 17 points. Rogers pulled a game-high 17 rebounds.
