The North Country Women's Lacrosse team dropped their season opener to Frederick CC of Maryland 17-1. It was the first time the team has seen the outdoors this year due to weather. Frederick came into the game with a 4-3 record having played seven games so far. 

Laura Stanton scored the Saints lone goal on an assist from Chloe Nott. Windy Derushia made 7 first half saves before giving way to Abby Cowan in the second half. Cowan stopped 4 shots in relief. 

The Saints hit the road this weekend to take on 6 time defending National Champion Monroe CC.
