In the last of 4 doubleheaders on the Maryland trip, the Cannoneers faced Anne Arundel Community College before the conference schedule begins. Anne Arundel jumped out to an early 12-2 lead in the 3rd inning. However, Jefferson showed impressive resilience putting up 8 runs in the 4th to get back in the game. Kiannah Ward went 4-5 at the plate with 3 RBIs and Jadyn Childers had 3 hits of her own. Despite the rally, Jefferson drops game 1 13-10.
Anne Arundel got off to an early start again in game 2 going up 3-0 in the first. Jefferson clawed their way back with the help of Jadyn Childers game tying homerun. Rachael Shackleton also went 4-4 with an RBI at the plate and Hailey McCgrew was 3-4 with an RBI. Despite a late rally in the 7th, Jefferson loses game 2, 7-6.
