Baseball: Defeats Prince George's

Largo, MD: Despite seeing its five-run lead whittled down by the end, Bucks County Community College Centurions still held off Prince George's Community College for a 7-6 victory on Saturday. Prince George's Community College scored four runs in the failed comeback on a sacrifice fly by #5 in the eighth, a single by #11 in the ninth, and an error in the ninth.

Bats blistered as Bucks County Community College collected 12 hits and Prince George's Community College tallied six in the high-scoring game.

The Centurions Varsity got on the board in the second inning. Chris Furey's sac fly scored one run for Bucks County Community College.

Centurions put up four runs in the third inning. Bucks put the pressure on, led by doubles by Josh Mcgee and Brendan Jordan, a single by Furey, and a groundout by Felix Galarza.

Prince George's Community College scored three runs in the ninth inning. Their big inning was driven by a single by #11 and an error on a ball put in play by #1.

Jason Hughes took the win for Bucks County Community College Centurions. He lasted seven innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out eight and walking zero. Jorden Sesar and Andrew Kleppinger entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Bucks County Community College Centurions collected 12 hits on the day. Ed Parry and Jordan all had multiple hits for the Centurions. Jordan and Parry all had three hits to lead.

Prince George's Community College tallied six hits in the game. #5 and #11 each had multiple hits for Prince George's Community College.  

The Centurions are now 6-1.
