Cardinals Suffer A Tough Loss Against A Dominant Hawks Team

Catonsville, MD- The Cardinals suffered a tough loss against a dominant Hawks squad. The Cardinals tallied a goal on the board first with a goal from Ariana Smith-Rodriguez in the 13th minute. However, the Hawks would then take over in commanding fashion totaling eleven goals throughout the entire game. Four of those goals came from Karleigh Cohen, two from Jennifer Nanosi, and five other Hawks players contributed with goals to finish the contest.

Briana Mendoza chipped in at the 17th minute mark, Lila Biggar in the 23rd minute, Ashley Tyson in the 31st minute, Cassidy Barnette in the 31st minute, and Adrianna Ward in the 88th minute. One of the most impressive stat lines hailed from Jenna Dade, who recorded twenty six saves during the matchup that resulted from thirty seven shots on goal. Defensive stops from the Cardinals forced the breakaways by the Hawks to be slightly more difficult along with an impressive performance in goal by Jenna Dade. Offside penalties also gave the Cardinals time to recover and create offense during changes of possession. However, it wasn't enough to stop the Hawks as they would continue to create ways to find the back of the net.

The Cardinals will look to rebound from Tuesday's loss as they will travel to Hagerstown Community College on Tuesday, October 15th, at 4:00pm.
