Lions split DH with Allegany College of MD

Dundalk, Md. - On Saturday, March 23rd the Lions faced the Allegany College of Maryland Trojans. The double header was split with CCBC Dundalk winning the first game 9-5 and losing the second game 5-1.
The score was 2-1 Trojans lead until the bottom of the third. Charles Lebron singled. Bryant Gutierrez singled. A wild pitch advanced them both. Another wild pitch scored one and left a man on third. Then Aaron Rodriguez drew a two out walk and stole second. Ivan Martinez followed with a two RBI double. Chad Rawlerson followed with a double of his own scoring Martinez. Heading into the top of the fourth the score was 5-2 Lions lead.
The bottom of the fourth started with a leadoff walk from Mateo Gil and then he stole second. Charles Lebron then hit an RBI single. Bryant Gutierrez doubled leaving a runner on second and third. A wild pitch advanced the runners. Ivan Martinez doubled to score Gutierrez. Martinez advanced to third on a wild pitch. A throwing error scored Martinez. Lions lead 9-2.
In game two the Lions struck first in the bottom of the third. Kaleb Whitlock hit a leadoff single. Mateo Gil laid down a sacrifice bunt. Charles Lebron put the ball in play and a throwing error allowed Kaleb to score. Sadly this was the first and only run for the Lions in the second game in the 5-1 loss.
