The Cannoneers travel out of state to Bel Air, Maryland for their first time outside to open the season!
Emily Birmingham led the way in the circle escaping a bases loaded, no out jam preventing any runs from scoring with a diving play by center fielder Kiannah Ward in the first inning. Birmingham pitched a complete game with 6 strikeouts to follow.
The offense was quiet all game with Rachael Shackleton and Trinity Molnar picking up the only hits for the Cannoneers. Jefferson would go on to drop the season opener 6-0.
Game 2 was cancelled due to weather and field conditions.
